Services
Our goal at WNC Angling Adventures is to program trips that incorporate the spirit of adventure and venture outside of the box that most outfitters exist in. We are focused on creating memories in the great outdoors and to show what all of the waters in the area have to offer. Whether you like to float for trout, fish smaller lakes, tour larger water, or paddle with the family, we go places other outfitters do not!

Kayak Fishing Adventures
Kayaks are one of the most effective watercraft at getting into places other boats cannot. We are proud to offer both lake and river options to get you to the less pressured water. We also have family friendly options to get everyone out on the water!

Float Trip Adventures
Our more conventional trip that takes place on larger rivers in pursuit of trout and smallmouth bass, depending on the time of the year and stocking schedule. These trips are for 1-2 people and are great for those looking to get into fly fishing to gain experience and skills.

Kayak Tours/ Family Trips
Fun for all. These trips are for those that want to explore our local lakes or get the whole family out on the water with a structure suited for kids. Shorter trips with more flexibility to give fun adventures in a format that is better for those looking for quicker options to get out on the water.
About
Alex White
Fishing has always been my passion, and I have had the privilege of getting to do it all over the country. Born in Pennsylvania, I grew up an avid bass fisher, taking every opportunity I could to go out on the boat with my grandpa. As I grew up, I went to Colorado Mountain College and then Western Colorado University for Recreation and Outdoor Education, which is where I fell in love with fly fishing and trout. All of these experiences led me to a career as a fishing guide with a passion for outdoor adventures. My goal is to push the boundaries of what the guide industry currently provides and to create unforgettable experiences. I look forward to taking you on your next adventure!

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring?
We provide all of the gear necessary for the trip. You are welcome to bring your own gear, but we will have it for you otherwise. It is a good idea to bring some extra layers and a rain coat, as well as an extra set of clothes in the event you get wet.
What if it rains?
The weather in the mountains is unpredictable. The warmer months there is almost always a chance of rain. Trips will go out in the rain as long as it is safe and the fishing conditions are still suitable. Some of the best days of fishing are the rainy ones.
Tipping
Tipping has been a customary part of the guiding industry long before your barista turned the tablet around expecting 20 percent for a cup of coffee. We work hard to provide you the best experience we can, and while it is not a requirement, we sure do appreciate it!
Can we keep the fish?
We are a catch and release outfit. Everything we catch gets thrown back, except Alabama spotted bass, as they are invasive and bad for our native fish populations. We don't like eating them, but you are welcome to keep them if you choose
Satisfaction Guarantee
We want to provide the best possible experience on our trips and are always trying to perfect them. Your feedback is also important to us. We want you get the most out of your time with us, and if you are not satisfied with our services we will refund your trip.
Licenses
Everyone over 16 will typically need to have an Inland Fishing License. The easiest place to obtain a license is online at www.ncwildlife.org.
